WHY DID THE CHICKEN CROSS THE ROAD
This lesson is based on the common riddle joke ‘Why did the chicken cross the road?’ Using the infinitive of purpose, I asked students to come up with their own answer to the joke. To make the lesson fun, I asked them to also draw the chicken crossing the road. Some students came up with some really funny answers.Using humour and drawing always gets students engaged in the lesson. Even the quiet students get involved.
